I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) a few months ago, and I've been prescribed Sildenafil 10mg/ml Oral Susp 112ml. The doctor says it’ll ease the strain on my heart by relaxing the blood vessels in my lungs. I’ve been searching online for more information, but I’d love some direct input from anyone else who's used this. The list of side effects is daunting. Does anyone have experience with non-serious side effects, like flushing or headaches? What can I do to mitigate this? For example, will timing food intake or taking the medicine at night help? I'm also curious about how much it improves your ability to exercise. I want to be able to do more without shortness of breath, so I'm really hoping this helps. How long should I see change before I contact my doctor about not feeling better? Are there any strategies for managing any side effects I might experience? Does anyone know if Sildenafil can actually help with a stuffy nose, or is my doctor just messing with me?

My experience was a bit different. The first week or so was rough, but the longer I’ve been on it, the better I’ve felt. It's a bummer to have side-effects during the first week, but it may just be the body adjusting. Just stick with it and see what happens.

I’ve been on Sildenafil for a year now, and it’s been a game-changer. My exercise capacity has improved, and I feel so much better overall. The flushing is a bit awkward, but it goes away quickly. Just make sure you stay hydrated and take it on an empty stomach, if that’s an option.

I have to disagree. I've been on this for several months, and I can't say it's made a huge difference. My doctor keeps encouraging me to continue, but I'm not feeling it.

Yeah, this stuff is a lifesaver. I’ve had headaches, but they’re manageable with over-the-counter meds. Just monitor your symptoms and talk to your doctor if anything seems off.

I took it once and got the worst headache of my life. My doctor said it’s pretty rare. I found a different treatment that works better for me, but I still hope it works for you!

I had a really bad experience with the side effects. I ended up with a severe headache and nausea. The doctor suggested I take it with food, which helped a bit, but it was still rough. Maybe it's not for everyone.
