I was recently prescribed Sildenafil 20mg tablets for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). I've been researching it and I'm curious about others' experiences. Does anyone know if these medications are effective for reducing symptoms like shortness of breath? I'm especially concerned about potential side effects, such as flushing, headache, or even more serious issues like fast heartbeat. Has anyone experienced these? How did you manage them? I'm also wondering about long-term use—does anyone have insights on that? Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

How about the long-term effects? I've heard mixed things about its long-term use. Any insights?

What are some symptoms of an allergic reaction to watch out for? I want to make sure I know what to look for if I ever experience any.

I think it's worth mentioning that Sildenafil isn't just for PAH. It's also used for erectile dysfunction, but the dosage is different. Just make sure you're taking the right dose for your condition.

I've been taking it for six months now. The headache and flushing are really manageable. I think my doctor should have mentioned headache and flushing might go away. I’m glad I was able to stick with it and get help for my PAH.

Don't let the side effects scare you. It's helped manage my PAH really well. Just stay informed and talk to your doctor regularly. You can do it!

You might experience a bit of muscle pain and a stuffy nose. It's not uncommon. Just take it easy, drink plenty of fluids, and see if it passes.

I've been on Sildenafil for a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my PAH. The shortness of breath has significantly improved, and I can exercise more without feeling winded. As for side effects, I did experience some flushing and headaches in the beginning, but they went away after a few weeks. I also had a nosebleed once, but that was it. I can not believe I’m having less trouble breathing. Just make sure to take it consistently and follow your doctor's instructions. Good luck!

I wish the side effects weren't so scary, but it's better to know. A friend of mine had trouble breathing for a while, but it's managed. I hope you have a good experience. It's worth seeking long-term improvement in quality of life.
