I was prescribed Silver Sulfadiazine 1% Cream 50gm for a severe burn I received while cooking. I've been using it for a few days and I'm curious to know if anyone else has used it and what their experiences were. Does anyone know if there are any better alternatives out there? Side effects have been minimal, but I'm wondering if I should be concerned about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. I've read that it can cause a few serious reactions. Also, I'm curious if anyone has had issues with skin irritation. I've noticed my skin is a bit more sensitive than usual but I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I've also noticed changes in skin color which is a bit unsettling. Does anyone know if this is a normal side effect or something I should be concerned about? I'll make sure to report any serious side effects to my doctor if they pop up.

Changes in skin color are common. It's usually a sign of the cream working, but if it bothers you, talk to your doctor. They might adjust the treatment plan.

The silver in the cream helps fight infections, but the sulfadiazine can cause some serious reactions. I had a friend who ended up with Stevens-Johnson syndrome from a similar drug. Scary stuff.

I've used it before and found it to be quite effective. Just be cautious and keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms. If you notice anything weird, don't hesitate to call your doctor.

Be aware of liver problems too. Dark urine and yellow eyes are serious symptoms that need immediate attention.

If you're feeling tired or weak, that could be a sign of liver problems. Don't ignore these symptoms!
