Skytrofa 7.6mg Inj Cartridge: A Gametime Changer for Kids with Growth Hormone Deficiency?
I just started my 5-year-old on Skytrofa 7.6mg Inj Cartridge for his growth hormone deficiency and I am so scared. Has anyone else given this to a child this young and can anyone share experiences? I know it's a once-weekly shot that releases growth hormones but literally any other insight is welcome.

My daughter has been on Skytrofa for a while, and while she's growing well, I've noticed some mood changes. Her doctor said it can happen and we're just keeping an eye on it.
We had this problem too. At first, it was a nightmare because he got scared of shots but he got used to it after some time. It is worth it for sure.
Has anyone's child had issues with skin breakdown at the site of application? I've read that as a possible side effect but haven't found anyone who has experienced it personally.
Skytrofa is a lifesaver for kids with growth hormone deficiency. My niece was on it and she is much taller and more confident now. It takes time but it works. You should be glad you found this medication for your kid.
Did you notice any changes in his appetite or energy levels? My son is on it and I've seen a big increase in his appetite, almost too much!
I totally agree with the previous comment. I've heard a lot of parents say their kids had severe side effects. This is definitely something to be discussed with a doctor in detail.
I started my kid on Skytrofa when he was 2 years old. He's doing great now. He got some minor side effects in the beginning like stomach upset but the doctor said it is normal.
