I recently started using Sod Fluoride 0.2% Mint Solution as recommended by my dentist to help prevent cavities. The solution works by strengthening tooth enamel, making it more resistant to acid, but I've had a few questions about its proper usage and possible side effects. The package insert mentions some serious side effects like allergic reactions and severe stomach upset, but it also notes that these are rare. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and haven't experienced any issues, but I'm curious to know if others have had different experiences or have any tips on using it effectively. Anyone have any insights on the side effects or how to use this product? Does anyone know if there are any specific times it is recommended to use this rinse for maximum effectiveness? I've seen some conflicting information online.

Does anyone know if it's okay to use this during pregnancy? I'm due in a few months and want to make sure my teeth stay healthy while we wait for my daughter. Is it worth the risk of side effects or is it a preventative measure worth taking.

I’ve been using Sod Fluoride for about a month now, and I’ve noticed a difference in how my teeth feel. I have to admit that I’ve had a few allergic reactions in the past, so I was a bit worried about using it. But after checking with my doctor and doing some research, I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did because my teeth feel stronger and I haven’t had any issues so far. Just make sure to follow the directions carefully and you’ll be fine. Just don’t swallow it!

I’ve never had any side effects but it’s good to know what to watch for. I think my teeth feel smoother after using this. It’s my new ritual before bed.

I've heard that fluoride can be dangerous if ingested, especially for kids. Always make sure to keep it out of reach. Let us know you are using it and the brand as the concentration might vary.

I've been using Sod Fluoride for a while now and it's been great for my teeth. Just remember to spit it out and not swallow it. I always rinse with water afterwards too, just to be safe. It's a bit harsh for my teeth and may cause sensitivity, but it's worth it to prevent cavities. And the mint flavor is nice!

I'm glad I found this thread. I was considering trying out this rinse but the side effects list is a bit scary. I'll definitely talk to my dentist about it first. I'd hate to have a reaction to it but educate myself first. Might have to try the non alcohol based one to be safe.
