I was prescribed Sod Phenlac/benz 10-10% Inj, 50ml to treat hyperammonemia after my liver issues got worse. It's administered intravenously, so it’s a bit of a process. I’m curious if anyone else has used this medication and what kind of experiences you've had. I’m particularly interested in hearing about any side effects you've encountered and how you managed them. The list of possible side effects is quite long, so I’m hoping to get some insights from people who have been through this.

I had to stop taking this due to severe dizziness. It came on suddenly and was pretty scary. If you feel like that, don't hesitate to seek help.

Did anyone else feel like they were constantly thirsty and hungry? I had a hard time adjusting to it, but my doctor said it was normal. It was weird, but it wasn’t terrible.

I've had issues with low potassium levels. I felt like my body was just tired, but my doctor figured it out quickly. It’s a good reminder that we have to listen to our bodies and trust our doctors.

I actually had to contact the FDA about some side effects I was having. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. It’s worth it if you’re having a tough time. They can help you figure out if it's the med’s fault and not your body.

I had a terrible time with administration site reactions. The IV site got really red and painful, but my nurse was great and caught it early. Make sure to keep an eye on that.
