I've been prescribed Sodium Sulfacetamide 10% Wash for my acne, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the severe ones. Has anyone had any bad experiences or side effects that made them stop using it? I'm feeling really anxious about it. My doctor assured me it’s safe, but I wanted to see what actual users think. I've read the possible side effects, but I don't know how likely they are. I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

Remember to let the wash dry completely before putting any lotion or makeup on. I've had a lot of issues with side effects because I used lotion before it dried completely.

Be very careful when applying it. I have really bad acne on my forehead and have been using it for a few months. I had some peeling and dryness, but nothing too bad. I'm just thankful this has begun to work for me.

I was honestly pretty worried when I saw the side effects, but I haven't experienced anything that bad. Just some minor irritation, but it gets better and then I use 0.5% hydrocortisone cream to soothe it. Definitely keep an eye on it and don't hesitate to talk to your doctor if you notice anything weird.

I got a rash and stopped using it. Not worth it, in my opinion. I switched to a different topical treatment and it works better for me.

Hey, I'm not a doctor but I have some experience with this. If you're worried, ask your doctor about trying a different medicine, or even switching to a different soap or face cleaner. There are lots of options for this! I had a weird skin reaction for a while and it stopped when I stopped using this.

My dermatologist told me that this liquid is usually a good last resort before trying more intense acne treatments or antibiotics. If you're really worried about this, I think you and your dermatologist should discuss it and see if there might be another option for you.

I've been using it for a few weeks and haven't had any issues. Definitely wash your hands before and after use and only use it on affected areas as directed.
