I've been using Sore Throat 15mg/3.6mg Lozenges 18s for the past week, and I'm curious about other's experiences. These lozenges contain benzocaine for pain relief and menthol for a cooling sensation. They've worked well for minor sore throat pain and irritation. Has anyone else tried them and how well did they work? Also, are the side effects as rare as the package says? I've heard some scary stories, including signs of methemoglobinemia. Let's discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I stopped using them because of the side effects. I felt dizzy and had a weird tingling sensation in my mouth. Not worth the risk for me.

I've used them a couple of times and found them to be really effective. But I did experience some mouth tingling, which was a bit strange. It’s not too severe but something to keep in mind. The relief they provide is worth it though.

Who else hates that first bite of lozenge? People complain about the taste of cough syrup, but theses are way worse!

I've had some severe allergic reactions in the past, so I'm always wary of new medications. These lozenges seem to have a lot of potential side effects that can be really serious. I'd be hesitant to use them without talking to a doctor first.

Has anyone felt relief lasting more than 24 hours? I can't get through a day without needing relief. Sometimes I take them before I am in pain and experience zero symptoms for 24hrs! Maybe I'm just magical, but I am not a huge fan. I had one bad experience with a throat lozenge years ago; I had severe pain and swelling. I asked Google and had to call the hospital to come to my house to check me out. Nothing like a late night visit with the medical team. I was definitely scared.

I didn't realize these lozenges had anything like that in them. I usually just go with the Halls for throat relief. I don't go shopping for meds at the pharmacy and just pick up whatever, so I would have never thought to try this one!

I tried these and didn't get on with the taste. I have been using them for irritating cough instead of sore throat and it is fine. I don't know why it works for a cough but not sore throat for me.

I just want to know what's better: lozenges or throat spray? I've tried both and they seem to work the same way. Do they?
