I've been using Spectazole 1% Cream for the past week to treat my athlete's foot. The cream seems to be working, but I'm experiencing some irritation at the site of application. Has anyone else had this issue? I've read that severe allergic reactions can occur, but I'm not experiencing anything close to that. Just wondering if this is normal and if there are any tips for reducing the irritation. Also, has anyone reported side effects to the FDA? If so, how was the process?

Fungal infections suck. Best of luck with your treatment.

I had a really bad reaction to this cream. I started breaking out in hives and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER. Scary stuff, but thankfully I'm okay now. Definitely call your doctor if you experience any of those urgent side effects.

I've had success with using coconut oil with tea tree oil for fungal infections in the past. It might be worth trying if you're still having issues even after talking to your doctor but I'm not sure if you can combine it with topicals.

I've had success with using apple cider vinegar for athlete's foot but I am not sure if that is something to combine with the topical cream.

I've used Spectazole before and never had any issues. It's worked well for me every time.

I had a similar reaction to Spectazole and it turns out I was allergic to the cream. I had to switch to a different antifungal cream. If you react to the cream, don't think twice and go to the doctor immediately.

I've heard that cleaning and drying the area very well is very important - make sure you do that. Also, I don't think you can combine topicals but I can't speak for that - some people say you can, some people say you can't. Worth asking your doctor

I've used this cream for jock itch before and it worked perfectly. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully and you should be fine.
