I recently had to deal with a head lice infestation in my household, and my pharmacist recommended Spinosad 0.9% Topical Suspension 120ml. The instructions seemed straightforward: apply to dry hair, leave on for 10 minutes, and then rinse off. I followed the instructions to the letter, but I'm curious to hear from others who have used this treatment. Did you notice any side effects? How effective was it for you? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any unexpected reactions or tips for making the process smoother. Also, what should we do if the lice return after treatment? Any insight or advice would be immensely helpful!

Be cautious with this stuff. My kid had a mild allergic reaction the first time we used it. It was just a bit of itching and redness, but we had to stop using it. Definitely watch for any signs of a more serious reaction.

Make sure you use the exact amount indicated. I put too much on my hair and got some on my face, resulting in a minor allergic reaction. Not fun.

I had no side effects at all. The lice were gone after one application, but I did have to go back to the doctor because some of the nits remained. They told me you need to comb them out manually. Make sure to use a fine-tooth comb and be thorough.

My doctor recommended using a hair drier after rinsing because it helps with drying the hair faster and reducing the risk of irritation. It was my saviour when dealing with lice. I hope this helps!

I used to live in an area with a lot of head lice outbreaks in schools. We had a family friend who was a nurse and she always recommended this treatment. She said it was the most effective, but always be careful with the application. Make sure you read the instructions carefully.

I found that applying it with a brush helped a lot. It made it easier to cover all the hair without dripping down the face. My kid didn't like the smell, but it was tolerable.

I've heard that you should repeat the treatment in 7-10 days to catch any new lice that might hatch from remaining nits. It worked for my family, but it was a bit of a hassle. Definitely worth it though, as it’s better than dealing with lice for weeks.
