Spiriva Handihaler 18mcg Caps 90s: Lifesaver or Trouble? I'm Confused!
I was just prescribed Spiriva Handihaler 18mcg Caps 90s for my COPD. I've heard mixed things about it. Has anyone else had experience with this? The side effects list is scary, and I'm wondering if the benefits outweigh the risks. My doctor said it would help open up my airways, but I've also heard horror stories about severe reactions and worsening breathing problems. I guess I'm just looking for some real-life experiences and advice.

Be careful, my friend had a bad reaction to Spiriva. She started having eye problems and had to stop using it. Maybe talk to your doctor about starting with a lower dose?
I think some of you are blowing the side effects out of proportion. Every medication has risks, but Spiriva has helped a lot of people. Just stay alert and talk to your doctor if anything feels off.
Definitely listen to your doctor and follow the instructions. Spiriva is not for sudden breathing problems, so always have your rescue inhaler handy. Better safe than sorry!
I had a really bad experience with Spiriva. I started having chest pain and swelling, so I had to get to the hospital immediately. It was scary, but thankfully I'm okay now.
I'm new to all this. My doctor just prescribed Spiriva and I'm nervous.
I've been using Spiriva for a few months now, and it's made a huge difference in my breathing. I was really nervous about the side effects too, but I haven't had any issues. Just make sure to use your rescue inhaler if you feel any trouble breathing.
