Trying to get advice on the over-the-counter drug Stomach Relief 525mg/15ml Susp 237ml or someone answill the question: Can someone share their experience on using Stomach Relief? I suffer from nausea and an upset stomach. This medication was prescribed by my Doctor, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. He said it works by coating the stomach and intestines. Has anyone who has an ulcer had an experience with it? It seems to help, but the side effects are concerning. I'm worried about hearing loss and ringing in the ears. It has caused constipation, but I've found it harmless and normal. I just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced a dark stool or tongue? Thanks!

I would be more worried about the ringing in the ears. That sounds really concerning. Has anyone else experienced this? It's not typical, right?

I had a friend who had a really bad reaction to this stuff – ended up in the ER with a rash and trouble breathing. Definitely not worth the risk for me. Have you ever heard any cases of an allergic reaction?

I've always found it to be a quick fix for nausea. I get travel sick. It took about 15 minute and I was fine! I did hear some ringin in my ear but was told it was normal. But, just because I've had a good experience doesn't mean everyone will – always good to be cautious.

I think the biggest issue is that people don't read the side effects carefully enough. If you're worried about any of these, just skip it even if it's an over-the-counter drug. I just read the directions carefully and didn't have any problems.

There is a slight paranoia of all over-the-counter medications having side effects, but the symptoms are usually mild and nothing to worry about. The dark stool and tongue are harmless! You can always check with a pharmacist or doctor!
