I never thought I'd say this, but I miss the days before Mavyret. The side effects were rough, but knowing I'm cured makes it all worth it. It's a miracle drug, really. I was amazed at how fast I started to feel better.
I finished my 12-week course a month ago and I'm pretty sure I had a bad reaction. It felt like I was developing an allergy to it. I started taking Benadryl and it helped me to get through the rest of my treatment. I would definitely recommend consulting your doctor immediately if you experience any of those symptoms. I'm glad I did because I realized it was not worth the risk.
I finished my treatment a few months ago and I'm finally feeling like myself again. The side effects were tough, but knowing that I was curing the virus made it worth it. Plus, my doctor was great about monitoring my liver function throughout the treatment. If you can, find a good doctor who will be there for you through the entire process.
I just started Mavyret last week and I'm already feeling pretty tired. Is this normal?
