I was recently prescribed Sucralfate 1gm/10ml Suspension for my stomach ulcers and would like to know more about the medication. What other side effects should I be aware of? I've read it can cause constipation, but I would like to know if there are other side effects I should be on the lookout for. Is this medication safe for long term use? Has anyone else had experience with this medication? How well did it work for you?

I'm on Sucralfate and have had no issues with side effects. I think it's a good medication for ulcers.

WhY are we all so worried about side effects anyway? If this helps our ulcer, I think others should try it too.

I've been on Sucralfate for a few months now, and the constipation is definitely real. Make sure to stay hydrated and maybe consider a stool softener if it gets bad. Overall, it's helped my ulcers a lot, so I'm willing to deal with the side effect.

I've had issues with acid reflux for a long time and was prescribed Sucralfate after a scope found ulcers. I have had some occasional constipation, but it's manageable. I have definitely noticed an improvement in my symptoms, particularly the painful burning sensation I've had for years. I'm definitely going to stick with it for the time being.

I haven't had any issues with Sucralfate, and it's been great for my ulcers. But I did read a study about Sucralfate possibly interacting with other medications, so if you're taking other drugs, talk to your doctor about any potential interactions.

I had to report some side effects of the medicine. I felt unusually tired and experienced some skin rashes. I talked to my doctor and was advised to stop using the medicine. I wish I had more luck with it.

I was worried about the high blood sugar symptoms, but my doctor assured me that it's rare. I've been monitoring my blood sugar levels just in case, but so far, so good. Just keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms and talk to your doctor if you're concerned.

I've had no major issues with Sucralfate and it's really helped with the ulcer pain. I would just recommend staying hydrated and keeping a regular bowel movement routine to avoid constipation.
