Suprax 100mg Chewable Tablets contain the antibiotic cefixime, which is commonly prescribed to treat various bacterial infections such as ear infections, throat infections, lung infections, and urinary tract infections. Unlike some other antibiotics, Suprax is available in a chewable form, making it a convenient option for children and adults who have difficulty swallowing pills. It works by killing the bacteria that cause these infections, helping to relieve symptoms and promote healing. However, like any medication, it comes with potential side effects that you should be aware of. This thread is to discuss everyone's experience with Suprax 100mg Chewable Tablets, whether positive or negative.

I'm wondering if anyone has used Suprax for something other than what it's prescribed for? I've heard about other antibiotics being used for different infections, but I'm not sure if Suprax is one of them.

Make sure to chew the tablets thoroughly! I didn't the first time and it was an unpleasant experience. It's important to follow the instructions carefully to avoid any issues.

I've been prescribed Suprax for a throat infection and it's been a game-changer. The chewable tablets are easy to take and seem to be working well so far. No major side effects yet, just a bit of stomach upset. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

My kid's doctor prescribed this for a UTI and it worked like a charm. Nice and easy for him to chew, too. No issues to report, thank goodness!

Just a heads up, diarrhea is a common side effect, but if it gets really bad, like life-threatening bad, you might have something called CDAD. That's a mouthful, but it's serious. I think even a few months after you stop, you can still have issues.

Always read the side effects before taking any medication. Suprax can cause some serious ones, so keep an eye out for anything unusual. I've had allergic reactions to antibiotics before and it's scary stuff.
