So, I have my first colonoscopy coming up and my doctor prescribed Suprep Bowel Prep Solution. I've heard horror stories and also some positive experiences. How was your experience with this prep? Anything I should know? Just want to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best! The doctor told me what to expect, but a little extra help goes a long way. Some of the serious side effects I'm a little worried about. How bad is the actual prep solution? Taste, side effects, etc. Any tips for getting through the prep, or what foods to eat before and after? I tried to find tips online but nothing really explains the process. Thanks, guys!

I took both doses of Suprep and I find that the second dose is much easier than the first. The second dose doesn't taste as bad and it is much easier to drink. I recommend taking it slowly.

I had a similar experience. The Suprep was definitely uncomfortable, but the prep process doesn't last forever. I read good things about using Gatorade to dilute the Suprep. The prep helped me sleep well.

I was nervous to drink the prep because it was orange and pink and tasted like bubblegum. It was just a little grainy but didn't taste as bad as I was afraid of. You can get it over with faster if you drink it quickly.

I thought it was way worse than I heard. I suggest trying lemon-lime or ginger ale to chase the prep. Can't stress enough how important it is to stay hydrated. I was getting dizzy and feeling tired, so make sure you take it easy during the prep.

I have to say I think the part of the prep that was worst was the fact that I couldn't eat anything for 24 hours before the procedure. But, on the other hand, I didn't feel any stomach pain or cramps like I had heard from others.
