I recently had weight loss surgery and was prescribed Bariatric Multivit Chew W/iron Tabs. I've been taking them for a few weeks now and wanted to share my experience and ask a few questions.

First off, I've notices these vitamins are huge compared to my old multivitamins. They aren't as bad as I thought they would be in terms of taste, but I do have some concerns.

  1. Should I be worried about the consistency of my stools? I've seen a change in color, but that could be because of the iron. 2. I've also been feeling some upset stomachs. Does anyone know if this will pass? 3. Are there any ways to help with the taste? 4. And finally, I'm struggling a bit with the cost. Does anyone have a way to offset the cost, like a coupon or something? I'd love to hear from others who've been through this! What are your experiences with Bariatric Multivit Chew W/iron Tabs?

Won't change to any other vitamins. I've tried others in the past and had issues. I do make sure to take these every day with a meal. If I miss one, I just take the missed one with my next meal. I don't double up. I've found that it's better on my stomach that way. Don't forget to tell your doctor about any other meds you're on, too. It helps to avoid any negative interactions.

Make sure you get your vitamin levels checked every few months. You don't want to become deficient. And try to eat healthy. It's going to count more than before.

I can't believe how big these things are! They're always around the house in a pill organizer. The taste isn't so bad. I've found it helpful to chew a piece of gum afterwards to help wash out the taste.

I think it's good that you're bringing up questions. These vitamins can be confusing. I've been through this. You'll get it down eventually. Don't be afraid to call your doctor, too. They should be able to answer any questions you have.

What's your doc say about cost assistance?
