I've been prescribed Janumet XR 50mg/1000mg to help manage my type 2 diabetes, switching from the non-extended release version. I am looking for insights from others who've made the switch. Has the extended-release version improved your blood sugar control more effectively? How has it affected digestion? Have you noticed any other side effects? I am also curious to know if anyone has specific tips for managing the potential side effects mentioned, like stomach upset or fatigue. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

I have been taking this medication for years and feel fine. :) I have my blood sugar and weight under control. I feel great. I'm glad I have a doctor that is involved in my care. Sometimes they just don't listen. So lucky!

Not a fan. I switched to Janumet XR and ended up with more side effects than benefits. Stomach upset the whole time. I felt like I was hungry all the time. It was rough. I'm going back to the regular Janumet.

I've been on Janumet XR for about 6 months now, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my blood sugar control. The extended-release formulation seems to work better for me compared to the regular Janumet. I still experience occasional stomach upset, but it's manageable with diet adjustments. Just make sure to take it with a meal to minimize any discomfort.

I'm liking it. I had terrible luck with other diabetes meds. I get some side effects, but I'm loving it compared to my previous meds. Plus, taking it once a day is a big plus.

Has anyone experienced severe fatigue while on Janumet XR? I've been feeling extremely tired lately, and I'm wondering if it's related to the medication. I'm worried it might be a sign of heart failure.

I've been on Janumet XR for about 2 months and have noticed a significant difference in my blood sugar levels. I've also experienced some stomach upset, but it's manageable. My doctor recommended taking it with a meal, which has helped. I've also noticed that I have a lot more energy. Instead of being hungry all the time, I'm feeling more satisfied so I don't snack as much.

I've been on Janumet for two years, and I've never had any significant issues with it. I agree that taking it with a meal can help with the stomach upset. I've also found some diet supplements to make the acid reflux and bloating a little easier to handle.

I have had a couple of good years on Janumet XR and overall I've been happy with it. It slows things down. Have you considered trying it with food to help with the side effects. I take 3 meals a day with it and switch to a protein bar or shake to make it easier.
