I recently started Synvisc 8mg/ml injections for my osteoarthritis, and I'm curious about others' experiences. The doctor mentioned it would help with the lubrication in my knee joint, but I'm wondering how long it takes to see significant improvement. Also, what are other common side effects? I've experienced some mild pain and stiffness, but was that normal? I'd love to hear from anyone who has gone through this treatment, what can I expect?

My mom had these injections and had horrible swelling. Be sure to consult your doctor if you have concerns ,

I was really nervous about the injections, but they were surprisingly quick and not too painful. Good luck!

I've found that ice and elevation really help with any swelling or stiffness after the injection. Worth a shot if you're struggling!

I've been on Synvisc for a few months now, and I've seen a real difference in my knee mobility. The pain is still there, but it's much more manageable.

I had a bad reaction to the first injection—itching and redness around the site. I'm not sure I'll be continuing with this treatment.

I noticed some bruising after my first injection. It wasn't too bad, but it was a bit alarming. However, it went away in a few days.

I've heard from some people that Synvisc is great, but others have said it was a waste of money. How can the results vary so much?

I've had Synvisc injections before, and the key is to follow up with physical therapy. It really helps to strengthen the muscle and prevent further damage
