I recently started using T-Stat 2% Pads to treat my acne, and I've had a mix of positive and negative experiences. On one hand, it seems to be effective in reducing the inflammation and bacteria on my skin. However, I've been experiencing some dryness and minor irritation that I'm not sure how to handle. I've read that these are common side effects, but I'm worried about the potentially severe side effects mentioned in the leaflet (such as colitis or allergic reactions). I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or advice on how to manage the dryness and irritation. Has anyone experienced more severe symptoms, or does anyone have tips on preventing them? I'd love to hear your thoughts or experiences with this medication.

Be really careful with any severe abdominal pain or changes in bowel habits. Colitis is no joke and requires immediate medical attention. Trust me, I've had it and it's not fun.

I had some mild stomach cramps when I started using these. Is that normal? Should I be worried? I've not had any other symptoms, so I'm not sure if I should mention it to my doctor or just wait and see.

I've been using them for a few weeks now and haven't had any issues. I think it's important to patch test before using it all over your face just to make sure you don't have an adverse reaction.

I had a bad reaction to these pads. I broke out in hives all over my body and had trouble breathing. Scary stuff. Ended up in the ER and had to be treated with steroids. Definitely worth a trip to the doctor if you start to have any symptoms like that.

I’ve had some itching and peeling, but nothing too bad. I’ve found that applying a thin layer of Aquaphor before bed helps soothe the skin. Has anyone tried switching to a different topical antibiotic with better results?

My sister had a similar experience with the dryness, but she switched to a different brand and it was much better. Might be worth trying a different topical antibiotic product. Just make sure to talk to your dermatologist before making any changes.

My derm recommended using these pads alongside a gentle cleanser and non-comedogenic moisturizer. It's made a world of difference. However, I did have some initial irritation, but it subsided after a few weeks. Stick with it for a bit, but if things get worse, definitely consult your doctor.
