I recently started using Tazarotene 0.05% Cream to treat my psoriasis, and I've had a mix of positive and challenging experiences. This retinoid cream has been a game-changer for my skin condition, helping to reduce inflammation and promote healthier skin cell turnover. However, the side effects have been a bit tough to manage. I've experienced some skin irritation, including dryness and redness, but nothing too severe. I've been diligent about using moisturizer and wearing sunscreen as recommended, but I'm curious if anyone else has found effective ways to mitigate these side effects. Additionally, I'm keen to hear about any unexpected benefits or drawbacks others have experienced while using this medication. For those just starting out, it's crucial to follow your dermatologist's instructions closely and be patient, as it can take time to see improvements.

I've been using Tazarotene for a couple of weeks now, and I've had some intense burning sensations. I've also noticed some flaking and dryness around my mouth. I've been trying a cream moisturizer to see if it helps, but the burning is still pretty intense. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have been using Tazarotene for 3 months now. I've not faced any issues, though I use it once every 3 days, and it's been helpful.

I've found that applying a thin layer of Vaseline right after using the cream helps a lot with the dryness and irritation. It also creates a barrier against environmental factors, which I think helps my skin heal faster.

This stuff is a lifesaver for me. I've struggled with acne for years and finally found my holy grail. Just a word of caution to moisturize before bed or your skin might be in a foaming fit

Be careful, folks! I had a really bad reaction to this stuff. Within a week, my skin was so irritated and red that I had to stop using it. I'm wondering if the concentration might be too high for some people.

Yeah, it took me a few weeks to see any real difference, but now I can't imagine going back to my old skincare routine. Just remember to be patient and give it time!

I switched to Tazarotene after my dermatologist recommended it for my sun-damaged skin. I've noticed a significant improvement in texture and tone, but the redness and peeling were really tough at first. What helped me was using a gentle cleanser and a hydrating cream at night. It's been a bit of an adjustment, but my skin is finally settling down.

I've been using Tazarotene for a few months now, and while it's helped my acne significantly, the initial dryness was brutal. I found that using a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer right after applying the cream helped a lot. Also, I've been avoiding direct sunlight as much as possible and wearing a hat when I go outdoors. It's been a game-changer for me, and I've noticed my skin is looking much clearer now.

Have you all tried using it in conjunction with other topical treatments? I've been experimenting with combining it with my moisturizer, and so far, it seems to be working well.
