I recently started using Tazarotene 0.1% Cream for my acne and psoriasis, and I've seen some improvement but also experienced a few side effects. This medication is similar to vitamin A and helps skin cells grow and shed normally, reducing inflammation. I applied it as directed, but I did encounter some skin irritation, mainly dryness and redness. I've heard it can be intense for some people and was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are tips for managing these side effects. Also, I'm curious about the more severe side effects—has anyone experienced anything like that? I appreciate any advice or personal stories shared here, thanks!

I've been using it for a month and experiencing tremendous improvement in my acne. I started with a lighter application and was consistent, but I did have some irritation at the start. I found a good balance by reducing the frequency of application and using a lighter moisturizer in between. It’s worth giving it time to work.

I'm curious: did anyone else experience any severe swelling? I've been applying it for a week now and I’ve started to feel some swelling on my face. Should I be worried?

I used it for a week and then decided to stop completely. It was too painful for me, and I didn't see much improvement anyway. I think everyone's skin is different, so it might not work for everyone. I'm going back to my regular moisturizer and seeing a doctor again.

I had a severe allergic reaction to Tazarotene. It was terrifying, so I stopped using it immediately and went to the doctor. I now use something else, and my skin is much better. If you feel any signs of an allergic reaction, stop and seek medical attention.

I switched to Tazarotene after my derm recommended it. I had no idea how serious the side effects could be. I was freaking out over the redness and itching after the first week, but I stuck with it and finally started seeing the results. Just take it slow and stay consistent.

I've used Tazarotene for a while now. It's helped with my psoriasis, but the skin irritation is real. I use a moisturizer to help with dryness, and it's made a big difference. Just make sure to patch test too so you can see how your skin reacts before going full throttle.

This is a game-changer for my psoriasis, but the dryness can be brutal. I've found that using a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer after applying the cream really helps. Also, keeping the area hydrated and not overusing it helps a lot.

I wish I'd known about this cream sooner! It's been a lifesaver for my acne. Be prepared for some dryness, but it’s definitely worth it in the long run.

I heard that applying it to the skin and then rinsing it off after 20 minutes can lessen the irritation. Has anyone tried that?

I think it's worth it. I was skeptical at first, but now my skin is clearer than it has been in years. Just be patient and give it time to work. I had a lot of dryness, but I just used a strong barrier cream overnight, and it’s worked wonders.
