Tazarotene 0.1% Gel 100gm: Effective for Acne and Psoriasis, But What About Side Effects?
I've been struggling with acne and psoriasis for years, and my dermatologist recently prescribed Tazarotene 0.1% Gel. I've heard it can be pretty effective, but the side effects list is a bit scary. Has anyone else used this gel? How did you handle the side effects, and what were your results? I'm especially worried about the severe allergic reactions. Is that something I should be really concerned about if I've never had an allergic reaction before?

I never experienced severe allergic reactions, but the initial adjustment period was tough. I had to manage the dryness and irritation, but it was worth it in the end.
I've been using Tazarotene for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for my psoriasis. I did experience some dryness and redness at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Just make sure to moisturize a lot!
I've been on Tazarotene for two months and I love it. I've had to deal with some dryness from just my face drying out, but my acne has cleared up a ton. I’ve had to use a different moisturizer for my face and body.
Tazarotene saved my skin. I was skeptical at first with the reaction, but after a month, my acne was significantly reduced. Stick with it!
I'm on my third tube of this stuff. I never had any allergic reactions, but I did have to deal with some serious peeling. It was like having the world's worst sunburn for a week. Stick with it though, it's worth it.
I've used it twice a day for a few months now. Definitely noticeable improvement in my skin texture and clarity. However, it did take a good while to get used to the irritation.
I tried it, but the burning sensation was unbearable. I had to stop using it. Also, I felt like the 5 minute window between applying and moisturizing was really tight. Everyone's experience is different though.
Be careful with your dosage, but it's worth it. I started with a pea-sized amount for my face. I didn't have any burning, but my skin was really dry. Use a good moisturizer or something!
It’s amazing how well this works, but the side effects are no joke. If you have sensitive skin, you might want to talk to your doctor about alternative options.
I made the mistake of not listening to my doctor and using too much. My face ended up looking like a tomato. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.
