Tegretol Susp 100mg/5ml: Side Effects and Experiences - What's Your Story?
I recently started Tegretol Susp for nerve pain, and I'm curious about others' experiences. The side effects list is a bit scary, so I'm looking for some insight from those who have taken this medication. How common are the serious side effects? What about less severe ones? Please share your stories, tips, or any helpful advice you may have. Thanks!

As someone who has dealt with Stevens-Johnson syndrome, I can tell you that it's not worth risking it. If you have any signs, get to a doctor immediately. No joke.
The sleepiness is real, but it gets better. This was one of the few times where I was told it was okay to mix with a little alcohol to get some sleep. But not medically advised, just don't do it.
I had to switch off Tegretol because of the rash. It was really scary, but it cleared up after I stopped taking it. If you get any signs of an allergic reaction, don't wait, go to the ER.
I've never had any issues with it. My doctor said it's important to monitor my sodium levels, though. My advice is to stay on top of your regular check-ups.
I think it's important to weigh the pros and cons. For me, the benefits of controlling my bipolar disorder outweigh the potential risks. Just be vigilant.
I've been on Tegretol for a few years now, and honestly, it's been a lifesaver for my epileptic seizures. I did experience some dizziness at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Just make sure to take it with food to avoid an upset stomach!
