I recently started taking Telmisartan/HCTZ 80-25mg tabs for my high blood pressure and I've had a pretty rough experience. The side effects for this medication seem to be all over the place, and I'm curious if anyone else has had similar issues. This combo med helps with both vessel relaxation and fluid reduction, but it comes with a list of possible side effects that I'm starting to notice. If you're taking this or have taken it, I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences..

I had severe dizziness and fainting spells with this med. It was terrible, and I had to switch to something else. Glad I did something about it fast, especially with the side effects being so severe. If this happens please don't ignore it

This med saved my life. My blood pressure was through the roof, and now it's under control. Just make sure to monitor your kidney function regularly. If you have concerns there are a lot of resources to help you.

I had to switch from Telmisartan/HCTZ 80-25mg due to kidney issues.

If anyone is worried about the more severe side effects, just talk to your doctor. They can adjust your dose or switch you to something else. I think most doctors know what they're doing, so don't panic.

I had really bad trouble passing urine and pain while doing so. I didn't know what to do at first. It's crazy how it affected me. I was worried sick but luckily a trip to the doctor saved me.

I feel like my doc rushed me on this med. I wish I had more options to consider. If anyone has any alternatives they would recommend, please send them my way

I've been on this for a few months and have had no issues. I was a bit worried about the side effects, but so far, so good. If there are any skin problems, make sure you get them checked out. After all, there is a small link to skin cancer.

I had weird fluid and electrolyte issues initially, but I got used to it. The most important part is to stay hydrated and follow your doctor's advice closely. If you're feeling off, don't hesitate to call your doctor.
