Temodar 20mg (Temozolomide) is a chemotherapy medication used to treat certain types of brain tumors. It works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells, which helps to slow or stop their growth. Typically administered as capsules by mouth, Temodar is a crucial component in the treatment regimen for many brain cancer patients. However, like all medications, it comes with a list of potential side effects ranging from mild to severe. This thread aims to provide an in-depth look at Temodar, its uses, side effects, and patient experiences. If you or someone you know is currently taking Temodar, please share your journey, tips, or any questions you might have. Let's create a supportive community where we can learn from each other's experiences.

I've been on Temodar for about 6 months now, and while it's tough, I'm finding that keeping a strict schedule with small, frequent meals helps a lot with the nausea. Also, my doctor prescribed me some anti-nausea meds that have been a lifesaver.

My wife has been taking Temodar for over a year now, and while she's had some side effects, she's managed to keep them under control. I've learned a lot about how to navigate her appointments and treatments. There's a lot of support out there for caregivers too. Look it up!

I've had to deal with changes in taste, which is making it hard to eat. Anyone else facing this issue? What foods have you found to be most tolerable?

Drugs can be life savers, but they can also cause so much unwanted issues. My dad had a severe allergic reaction to Temodar. Look out for that!

My partner noticed pinpoint red spots on his skin and he didn't know what it was. He went to the ER and they said it was related to the Temodar. Scary stuff! Yes it is, but it can also be helpful. Make sure to watch out for serious side effects.

Just started Temodar last week and I'm already feeling nauseous. Anyone have tips to manage this side effect? I've been trying ginger tea but it's not cutting it.

I was really scared when I started Temodar, but it's been pretty manageable so far. Just hope it's working as well as my doctor thinks it is.

I've had some severe fatigue, but my doctor said it's a common side effect of Temodar. Been trying to keep my energy up with supplements and lots of rest. Any other suggestions?

The hair loss is definitely the hardest part. Make sure to take care of your mental health too. I joined a support group and it's made a huge difference.

It's been a tough journey, but I'm glad to be part of this community. I'm also dealing with memory problems, which is really frustrating. Does anyone have tips on coping with cognitive changes?
