I've been using Temovate 0.05% Cream for my severe eczema flare-ups, and it's been a lifesaver. The clobetasol in it is incredibly potent and has helped reduce redness, swelling, and itching in just a few days. However, I've also experienced some side effects like burning and dryness, which can be quite uncomfortable. It's important to use this cream for short periods only, usually no more than two weeks, as directed by my doctor. But how do others manage these side effects, or have any tips to share?

I've found that using a light layer of Vaseline over the Temovate helps lock in moisture and reduces dryness significantly. Plus the Vaseline acts as a protective barrier.

I had a bad flare up before I started using temovate. I was so itchy and had lots of redness on big areas of my body. I can’t believe how well it has helped my eczema, it’s been a game-changer, but I have noticed signs of skin thinning, so I will be stopping it soon.

Give it a try and see if it helps, but use the minimum amount possible. I applied it when my skin was completely itchy and gave me a lot of relief.

I think the biggest issue with Temovate is the temptation to use it longer than prescribed. It's like a miracle cream, but you need to be disciplined and stick to the doctor's orders.

I agree, it's super effective but you need to be careful with it. I had to stop using it because it thinned my skin so much that it started to irritate easily. Stick to the two week rule guys.

I switched to a topical steroid cream to clear up a severe case of eczema on my arms. It worked great but I noticed my skin thinning and when I looked up the side effects I realized it was the Temovate I was using.

I've had a lot of success with Temovate, but I always make sure to moisturize immediately after applying it. It definitely helps with the dryness.

I tried Temovate for my psoriasis and it worked like magic. But I ended up with pimples and stretch marks. I think the side effects are worth it for the relief I got, but it was gross.
