I was recently diagnosed with a type of brain cancer, and my oncologist prescribed Temozolomide 140mg capsules. This chemotherapy drug works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells to stop them from growing and spreading. I've been taking it for a few days each month, and while the side effects have been tough, I'm hopeful that it will help. I wanted to start this thread to share my experience and hear from others who have gone through similar treatments. What has your experience been like with Temozolomide? What side effects did you encounter, and how did you manage them? I'm also curious about any tips or advice from healthcare professionals or caregivers who have supported loved ones through this treatment. Let's discuss!

I've heard that some people experience mood changes. Has anyone dealt with this, and if so, how did you cope?

I was on Temozolomide for a year. The fatigue and nausea were the worst for me. I found that eating small, frequent meals and staying hydrated helped a lot. Also, my doctor prescribed some anti-nausea meds that made a big difference. Good luck to everyone going through this!

I had some changes in vision. It was scary, but after some adjustments to my meds, things got better. I suggest to anyone struggling with this to see an ophthalmologist immediately.

I'm a caregiver for my mom who's on Temozolomide. The sleep disturbances have been challenging. We've tried melatonin, but it hasn't been very effective. Any tips from others who've dealt with this?
