I was recently prescribed Temozolomide 180mg capsules to treat my brain tumor. This medication works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells to slow or stop their growth. It's taken orally, usually in the form of capsules. The side effects can be quite daunting. I've had some common ones, but I'm curious about how others have fared. Some of the urgent side effects to watch for include allergic reactions, infections, unusual bleeding, and neurological symptoms. Other possible side effects range from fatigue and nausea to more serious issues like liver problems and seizures. I'm hoping to hear from others who have taken this medication and can share their experiences, advice, and any tips for managing side effects.

I had a friend go through this. She said the worst part was the constant fevers and chills. Make sure you have a good thermometer and painkillers on hand. It helped her a lot.

I had to stop taking Temozolomide because of severe fatigue and weakness. My doctor switched me to another medication, but it was a tough decision. I hope everyone finds what works best for them.

I had a mild rash and itching after my first dose. My doctor said it was a common side effect and gave me some cream to help. It cleared up after a few days.

I found that taking Temozolomide at night helped with the drowsiness. It made the next day a bit easier to handle. Also, talk to your doctor about anti-nausea meds if you're really struggling with that.

Anyone have tips for managing the taste changes? I can't stand the taste of meat anymore.

I had a severe allergic reaction to Temozolomide. Swelling in my throat, trouble breathing—the works. If you start feeling faint or dizzy, go to the ER right away. Don't mess around with these signs.

Has anyone else had issues with hair loss? Mine started falling out after the second cycle and it's been really tough.

I was on Temozolomide for about six months and the nausea was brutal. Ginger candies and small, frequent meals helped a lot. Also, stay hydrated!

I’ve heard stories about liver problems. What would that feel like? How can you tell the difference between regular stomach pain and something more serious? Any experiences or advice?
