I've been prescribed Temozolomide 5mg Capsules to treat a brain tumor, and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the potential side effects. I've read through the list, and while some of the urgent ones are scary, I'm more curious about the experiences of others who have taken this medication. Has anyone else taken Temozolomide, and if so, what were your experiences with the side effects? How did you cope with them? Are there any tips or tricks for dealing with the more common side effects like nausea, drowsiness, and hair loss? I’d also like to know if anyone has experienced any of the more urgent side effects and how they were managed. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on Temozolomide for a few months now. I've experienced some dizziness and fatigue, but nothing too severe. I make sure to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. It's a tough road, but knowing that it's helping fight the tumor keeps me going.

Hang in there! I was on this med for a year. The hair loss was tough, but it grew back eventually. Just remember to take it one day at a time and do what makes you feel good. A positive attitude really makes a difference. Stay strong!

I've seen a lot of posts about hair loss but what about the other stuff? I've heard about mouth sores, itchiness, and even changes in taste. How did you deal with this?

I'm glad you're asking about this. I took Temozolomide and the worst part was the mood changes. I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster. It's important to have a strong support system during this time. Hang in there, and remember to talk to your doctor about any side effects you experience.
