Testosterone 1.62% Gel (60 Pumps): Worth the trouble or avoid at all costs?
I've been prescribed Testosterone 1.62% Gel (60 Pumps) to help with my low testosterone levels. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it, from great results to some pretty scary side effects. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with this medication and can share their thoughts. How well does it work, and what kind of side effects do you experience? I've noticed a couple of changes in the past few days, but I'm not sure if I should be concerned yet. Do you have any tips on applying the gel correctly to minimize side effects? Can anyone share their experience with switching from a different testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to this gel form?

You guys are making me nervous about this. I have a prescription for the gel but I'm not sure if I should fill it. Has anyone had any good experiences with it? I’m looking for something to help with my libido and energy levels but I don’t want to deal with all the hassle. I’m scared of the side effects and the hassle of using it. Have any of you had to cut back on the dosage? I have a glass of oJ in the morning and I'm wondering if it will make a difference in my dosage.
I've been using it for a while and it's not too bad. Just remember to apply it to clean, dry skin and let it dry completely before getting dressed. And be careful not to get it on your partner or kids. My wife complained that her skin felt greasy and it made her sick so I learned to just make sure she didn't touch it. It's a hassle, but it works for me. I can't get over the feeling though that the whole thing is too much of a hassle in general. I'd rather just take a pill or something.
Just started the gel a few days ago. Im confused by the application instructions but I can’t wait to see the other side of the story. My doctor told me to apply it in the morning and wash my hands thoroughly after but I cant tell if it has helped yet. I tried applying it to my forearms but my girlfriend said it was too weird and not romantic. This is the weirdest TRT method ever. Any advice on getting used to it?
Ive had it for a month and ive gained 10 lbs. Not bad but my body hair is growing out of control. It's been a good change but it’s kind of a weird transition. I was trying to see how bad it could get with the side effects so I stopped washing my hands like the doctor told me to. Ended up with my wife covered in it and she had a hell of an experience with it. My kids are still avoiding me.
Be really careful with this stuff. I had a friend who was applying it and forgot to wash his hands. His wife got some on her and ended up with some odd symptoms that lasted for weeks. It is a nightmare to clean off so be careful if you’ve got pets or kids around. Take a washcloth and a bucket of soapy water and thoroughly clean the area before applying the gel.
