I've been using Texacort 2.5% Solution for a few months now, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer for my eczema. The redness, itching, and swelling have significantly reduced, and the solution is easy to apply. However, I'm a bit concerned about the possible side effects. Has anyone else experienced any issues, or am I just being paranoid? Let's share our experiences and tips!

I used it once, and I experienced severe itching and redness after using it. I had to stop using it after the second day. After that, I never went back. I find nothing wrong with using natural oils and ointments.

You all have been using it for so long. I have a 30ml bottle and scared to death to apply it. I am worried about the allergic reactions and high blood sugar. Any tips for a newbie?

I experienced burning at the site of application when I first used it, but it went away after a few days. Just do a patch test if you're nervous or consult your dermatologist.

I've always wondered what the actual difference is between the different hydrocortisone strengths. Does anyone know why my doctor prescribed 2.5% instead of 1% or 4%?

I have never used this but I know for people who use steroids for a long time their skin becomes super thin and can bruise easily. I would be cautious but I am sure dermatologists know what they are doing.

Texacort has been a lifesaver for me too! I have really bad eczema and using it for the last few weeks has helped keep my symptoms under-control. I've seen some redness and swelling but no side effects. I only wish it came in a bigger bottle!

I've been using Texacort for years, and it's the only thing that works for me. Just be careful not to use too much or for too long. You don't want to thin your skin out too much, and stay away from the face! That's a big side effect people don't talk about.

Can someone explain to me why hydrocortisone is considered a mild corticosteroid? I thought corticosteroids were always super strong and dangerous. Do they make it mild for topical use only?
