Hey everyone, I've been prescribed Betamethasone Dip 0.05% Lotn 60ml for my eczema, and I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. The urgent side effects section is pretty scary - has anyone had any of those? I've been using it for a few days and so far, so good, but I can't help but worry. I've seen a lot of talk about thinning skin and weight gain—anyone have experience with that? I'm also curious if this has worked well for anyone with psoriasis, as that is something else I'm dealing with.

Be careful with this stuff! Use the smallest amount possible, because this topical can actually be absorbed into your blood. I read some articles on this and it's actually quite scary

I've been using it for my psoriasis for years with no issues. Just make sure to use it sparingly and follow your doctor's instructions. Otherwise, you might experience some thinning of the skin

I've been using betamethasone for a while and no issues so far. Works great for me. I do keep an eye out for thinning skin though. Especially on my face. Worried about that.

I've been using it for a few weeks now, and the only side effects I've experienced are some dryness and itching. I usually apply it before bed and it helped me sleep much better at night

I stopped using it because it caused a severe allergic reaction. Swelling of the face, rash, hives, the works. Not worth it for me.

This stuff is a lifesaver for my eczema. I've had no side effects and it's the only thing that's helped my flare-ups.

I've had no problem with thinning skin, but I did gain some weight in my midsection. I'm not sure if it was from the lotion, but it's something to be aware of.

Hey guys did anyone notice any problems with eyesight after using this medication? I've heard steroids can affect the eyes. I'm worried for no reason, right?

I had a bad reaction to it. Getting swollen and hives at the site of application. I stopped taking it immediately and switched to another topical steroid. Be careful!!
