I've been taking Theophylline 100mg ER Tablets for about six months now to manage my COPD. At first, I was really nervous because I had heard about the potential side effects, but my doctor assured me that regular blood tests would keep me safe. I've had a few minor issues like trouble sleeping and a persistent headache, but nothing too bad. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar experiences or any tips for dealing with the side effects. On the plus side, my breathing has definitely improved. Also, how important are these blood tests really? Are there any long-term risks I should be aware of?

Anyone else get really nervous when they first started taking it? I was a wreck, but it’s been fine after a few weeks. Just make sure you don’t mix it with caffeine. Doctor said it can cause issues.

Blood tests are a must. My doctor told me that if the levels are not in the right range, theophylline can become toxic. I’ve been lucky enough to avoid serious side effects, but I’m very careful about my diet and how I take the medication.

I’ve had a few issues with low potassium levels. Muscle cramps and weakness are no joke. Salt substitution tablets and a potassium-rich diet helped a lot.

I’ve been on Theophylline for years, and yeah, the blood tests are crucial. My doctor monitors my levels regularly because too much or too little can be dangerous. As for side effects, I’ve had some nausea and restlessness, but it’s manageable. Just make sure you take it with food.
