I'm considering starting my 8-year-old on Palforzia Level 2 Capsules to help manage their peanut allergy. Has anyone here gone through this process with their child? I'm curious about the daily routine, how you handled any side effects, and if you've seen an improvement in their allergy symptoms. Also, what do allergists say about this treatment? How long do you need to continue it before you start to see effects? How does it affect your diet? Are there any long term effects? I did a lot of research, but I want to hear some real life experiences before making a decision.

We've been on Palforzia for a while and though it's a long journey with lots of side effects, it's been worth it to have a little less worry about accidental exposure. My kid loves it because it means he gets to eat more foods without having to worry.

Not worth it. I've tried to start Palforzia with my daughter, but it was too much to deal with for our family. We decided to make some tough decisions and just avoid peanuts completely. Plus, it's hard to find any reliable research on the long-term effects. The only positive thing I can say is that our allergist was very knowledgeable and supportive.

The side effects were tough at first, but they got better. It's worth it to know that my child is safer around peanuts, even if it's just a bit. We've had success with Palforzia, but it's a long-term commitment and requires patience and a lot of diligence. We also had to work closely with our doctor to monitor for side effects. We haven't had any severe reactions, but we are always prepared with an epipen.

We started Palforzia about 6 months ago for our 7 years old, and it's been a game-changer. The daily routine is pretty simple – just one capsule a day. No big deal!
