Thioridazine 25mg is an older antipsychotic medication primarily used to treat severe mental health conditions like schizophrenia. It works by altering the levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, but it comes with a laundry list of serious side effects, especially cardiovascular issues. It's usually prescribed when other medications have failed. I've been on it for a few months and have experienced some of the side effects, but I'm curious to hear from others. What's been your experience with Thioridazine? Have you had any severe reactions, or has it been manageable?

I've found that the constipation and dry mouth are the most manageable side effects. I've been drinking lots of water and eating more fiber to combat it.

I had to stop taking it because of the severe neurological problems I was experiencing. I developed trouble controlling my movements and it was absolutely terrifying. I switched to another medication and haven't looked back.

I've heard horror stories about Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome. I've been on Thioridazine and I'm already paranoid about it. Has anyone had to deal with this? How do you cope?

I've been on Thioridazine for a while now, and while it's helped with my symptoms, the side effects are no joke. I've experienced dizziness, drowsiness, and even some issues with my heartbeat. It's definitely something to monitor closely.

I just started taking Thioridazine. Any tips on managing the side effects? My doctor was pretty vague about it.

Have any of you reported side effects to the FDA? It's important to document these issues so they can potentially improve the medication or at least warn others.
