My mum has recently been prescribed Meman/donepz 14-10mg ER Capsules for her moderate Alzheimer's disease. The doctor says it's a combination of memantine and donepezil, and that it should help improve her memory and daily functioning. I've read about the possible side effects, which are worrying. I've been on Memantine for a while. I don't get the ER formulation. There are so many side effects.
It doesn't work. My grandmother's memory was worsening and she was suffering from depression. I do not recommend it.
I think I'd prefer to try other medications first. The side effects are scary.
