I recently came across Thrombi-Gel 10 Pads, which contain thrombin to help with blood clotting. Has anyone used these before? I'm curious about their effectiveness and any potential side effects. The urgent side effects section looks scary; I'd like to know from people who have used it to see how common these are in practice. My doctor recommended it but I want to hear your thoughts.

I had a friend who used these and had a severe allergic reaction. Swelling, rash, the whole nine yards. Be careful and keep an eye on those side effects, folks.

I used Thrombi-Gel 10 Pads during a minor surgery and it worked like a dream. The bleeding stopped almost instantly, and I didn't experience any side effects. Definitely recommend it for quick clotting.

I've never heard of this before, but this thread is making me really nervous. I think I'll stick to the traditional methods.

The potential side effects are pretty scary. Did your doctor explain why Thrombi-Gel over, say, surgical glue? I've heard it's more effective for some things, but I don't know enough about their efficacy.

These pads are a lifesaver! I got into a nasty accident and the ER used these. I was bleeding like a bitch, but it stopped quickly. Get some for your first aid kit, can't recommend them enough.
