I was prescribed Tobramycin 1.2/30ml Injection for a serious bacterial infection, and I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. I've read about severe reactions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome and kidney problems, which are scary. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, good or bad, and any advice you might have for dealing with the side effects. I'm particularly concerned about the fever, chills, and sore throat symptoms, as I've been a bit under the weather lately. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

This stuff knocked out my infection super-fast, but the side effects were bad. I had a lot of stomach issues and also some hearing changes. Your kidneys and ears are delicate, so talk to your doctor about any symptoms you’re having. If you are considering it, really push for topical if possible.

I got dizzy and weak. My body was completely exhausted. I couldn't do much and felt like I was constantly sick. I had to go to bed early every day. I was like a zombie. I'm glad I'm done with that.

The pain at the injection site was a huge bummer for me. I couldn’t believe the pain, probably the worst injection I’ve had. The major thing to look for though is any rash or breathing difficulties. My doctor told me to avoid ibuprofen while taking it because it can mess with your kidneys, so be careful with that.

I've had Tobramycin before and honestly it was not too bad it was painful but manageable. Definitely keep an eye on the kidney stuff though, hydrate well and talk to your doctor if you notice anything unusual.

I had to quit my job because of Seizures caused by Tobramycin. I didn’t know they could happen. I ended up in the hospital and it was horrible. If you have any family history of seizures, talk to your doctor about a different antibiotic.

I felt like I was on a roller coaster with this medicine. Some days were good, some days were awful. But honestly, I feel like it saved my life—my doctor said I would have been in big trouble without it. Just be really aware of the signs. It’s hard to know what’s side effects and what’s really bad

I had a rough time with kidney problems. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and avoid fizzy drinks. I ended up in the hospital with a severe rash and they switched me to a different antibiotic, so be prepared for that possibility. Report anything unusual to your doctor right away. I’m glad I did, it could have been worse.

I’ve had a stomach ache since day one. I think it’s the diarrhea. It’s not severe yet, but I’m scared it will get worse. I’m also a bit worried about the other symptoms I’ve been reading about here. If anyone has a way to stop diarrhea I’d love to hear it.
