Hey everyone, I've been prescribed Tobramycin 300mg/4ml Neb Sol 4ml for my lung infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Has anyone else used this before? I'm curious to hear about your experiences, good and bad. How did you handle the side effects? Did you have any major issues or was it relatively smooth? Also, any tips on using the nebulizer would be much appreciated! Would you recommend using it for CF patients? Can it help non-CF patients or people with other health conditions? I'd love to chat with anyone who has gone through this!

I had such a hard time cleaning the nebulizer at first. Anyone have any tips for making it easier?

I've been using Tobramycin for a while and I've noticed that my voice changes a bit after using it. It's not a big deal, but it's definitely noticeable. If you have any performances planned, you might want to take that into consideration. It might just be a fabric of my mind, but I'm pretty sure I've noticed my heart requires more caffeine after using the drug.

I've heard that some people have trouble with kidney issues while on Tobramycin. Has anyone else experienced this or know more about it? My doctor says that staying hydrated can help, but I'm not sure if it's enough to make a difference. It would be helpful if someone could talk to us about their real experiences. What is the likelyhood of this happening? It should be something everyone with kidney problems should consider, right?

My friend is on Tobramycin and he says it's working wonders for him. He hasn't had any major side effects either. I guess it just depends on the person. I would still recommend it to anyone with CF, unless their symptoms get worse. It can be game-changing for their health. I've heard that some people find it easier to use the nebulizer with a different brand of compressor though. Maybe that's worth looking into.

I've found that using a mask with the nebulizer really helps me breathe easier. It also reduces the amount of drug that gets lost in the air. I'd recommend giving it a try if you're having trouble with the standard mouthpiece. Make sure to clean your nebulizer really well after each use to prevent any buildup of bacteria. Also, don't forget to shake the solution well before using it. And yes, the side effects can be rough, but they usually go away after a few days. If they don't, definitely talk to your doctor. Having a towel handy can also help to catch any excess solution that might leak out.

You know what sucks? When you're right in the middle of a session and your cat decides to knock over the nebulizer. Not cool, Whiskers. Not cool. Anyway, just be prepared for some minor mishaps. It's still worth it though! Just be careful.

I've been on Tobramycin for a couple of years now. It's been a game-changer for my lung function, but the side effects can be tough. I've had some pretty bad headaches and changes in taste. My doctor told me it's common, but it's still annoying. Been thinking about changing to a different antibiotic, but my doctor says Tobramycin is one of the best for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. I'd love to hear if anyone has found a good way to manage those side effects!

I had a really bad reaction to Tobramycin the first time I used it. Swelling in my mouth and throat, couldn't breathe for a bit. Scary stuff. Ended up in the ER. Doctors say it's rare but it can happen. Be careful and keep an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction. If you can, always keep a doctor handy.
