I was prescribed Tolvaptan 15mg Tablets to help manage my low sodium levels (hyponatremia). I've been taking them for a couple of months now, and while they've helped with my sodium levels, I've experienced some side effects that I wasn't expecting. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'd love to hear about how others have managed these side effects. I've been experiencing some unusual thirst and frequent bathroom trips, which can get annoying. Plus I've been feeling a bit tired and weak lately. I also want to know if there are any tricks to minimize these issues. My doctor mentioned they've helped some of their other patients with ADPKD, so I'm holding out hope that these side effects will pass with time. Does anyone else experiencing any improvement in their kidney function?

How often are you drinking water for hydration to manage the thirst? I drink a lot of water and I’ve noticed an improvement

I've been taking Tolvaptan for my ADPKD, and I've had some side effects, but they've been manageable. I've noticed that my kidney function has improved, and that's what matters most to me. I've also been feeling more energetic lately, which is a big plus. I think it's worth sticking it out if you're seeing improvements in your condition. But if the side effects become too much, definitely talk to your doctor about other options. I had to go through a few different dose adjustments before I felt like the meds were working effectively.

Hang in there! I know it's tough, but it sounds like the Tolvaptan is doing what it's supposed to. Just make sure to keep your doctor in the loop about how you're feeling. They can adjust your dosage or suggest ways to manage the side effects. I had to cut down on my salt intake—which was the opposite of what I'd expect.

I've been on Tolvaptan for a while now, and I've had some side effects too. But I think the benefits outweigh them. I've noticed that my fluid retention has gone down, and I feel less bloated. Just make sure to monitor your sodium levels regularly and stay in touch with your doctor. And yes, drink plenty of water. I use an app to remind me to drink enough water throughout the day. It's really helped me stay on track.

This is way too much info for me. I'm gonna stick with my current meds, thanks.

I was really hoping this would be a miracle cure, but the side effects are just too much for me. I had to stop taking it after a few weeks. I wish I could give you better advice because I can't stop thinking of the potential benefits.
