I've been taking Tolvaptan 45mg/15mg for a few months now to manage my Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD). I was initially excited about the potential benefits, but I've been dealing with some pretty common side effects. I was hoping to hear from others who are taking this medication to see if anyone else has experienced the same issues and how they've managed them. The side effects I've encountered so far are frequent urination, unusual thirst, and feeling tired or weak. I've also noticed some weight loss, which could be concerning. I've heard that some people experience more serious side effects, and I'm also curious to know how common these are and what others have done to mitigate any risks. I'm keen to understand how many people experience the side effects and what can be done to ensure a better experience with this medication.

Make sure to report any side effects to the FDA. It's important for them to know the full range of issues people are experiencing. I had some allergic reactions at first but managed to get over it.

I’d also monitor electrolytes. It’s important to go to the doctor regularly. I found a brand that has helped reduce the side effects.

I've been on Tolvaptan for over a year now. The frequent urination was tough to deal with at first, but I've managed it by making sure I'm near a bathroom at all times. The thirst is a real struggle, but I'm just trying to stay hydrated.

I haven’t had any major issues, but I did experience some dehydration. It’s important to stay hydrated and monitor your fluid and electrolyte levels. I've been drinking electrolytes and have been fine.

I just started Tolvaptan last week and I'm already feeling the usual side effects. My doctor said they would subside in a few months, but it's tough to keep a positive mindset right now. Any tips to help cope?

I was told to be prepared for the urinary changes. Make sure you have a doctor's contact info handy, for serious issues.

I've experienced both frequent urination and dry mouth. Drinking plenty of water helps, but I also keep sugar-free candy and chewing gum on hand to combat the dryness. It's a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it for the potential benefits.
