I recently began treatment with Toposar 500/25ml Inj (Etoposide) for my cancer, and I'm looking for others' experiences with this medication. Toposar is given as an injection into a vein and works by stopping cancer cells from growing and dividing. It's a powerful drug, but I'm concerned about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions, infections, and bleeding. I've already experienced some hair loss and fatigue, but I'm hoping to manage the other side effects with the help of my doctor. Has anyone else been through this treatment and can offer some advice or support?

Keep in mind, the urgent side effects are rare, but if you experience any of them, don't wait to seek help. I had a bad reaction to another chemo drug once and it was scary. Better safe than sorry!

Why is it that the side effects always seem to hit at the worst times? Like the all-out nausea attack during a family dinner. Oh well, just have to laugh it off after you throw up in the toilet.

I went through Toposar treatment last year and it was tough, but manageable. The nausea was the worst for me, but my doctor prescribed some medication that helped a lot. Just be prepared for the fatigue and take it easy when you need to.

Did anyone else experience severe fatigue? I'm struggling to stay active and it's affecting my mood.

Just a heads-up, Toposar can really mess with your appetite. I found that eating small, frequent meals helped a lot. And if you can stomach it, try some ginger tea—it’s a miracle worker for nausea. Good luck!

I'm on round 3 of Toposar and so far it's been manageable, knock on wood. Just be prepared for the ups and downs. Sometimes you feel great, other times you're stuck in bed. Just take it one day at a time.

I had to deal with a lot of tissue damage at the injection site. Make sure to keep a close eye on it and tell your nurse right away if you notice anything unusual. It can get really uncomfortable.

Can anyone recommend any good anti-nausea remedies? I'm trying to manage it, but it's rough.

I've been on Toposar for a few months now and the hair loss was surprisingly easy to deal with. I got a cute wig and even some funky hats. It’s amazing how much that can boost your mood. Hang in there!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had a friend who was on Toposar and she said the mouth sores were really challenging. She used a specific mouthwash recommended by her oncologist that helped a lot. Also, stay hydrated! It makes a big difference with these drugs.
