Torsemide 20mg: My Experience with This 'Water Pill' and Its Side Effects
I was recently prescribed Torsemide 20mg to help with swelling from my heart condition. It seems to be doing the job, but I've been experiencing some weird side effects. I've heard of other people taking this medication though, so I'm curious to know others' experiences with it. Has anyone else taken this medication and felt some unusual effects? Specifically, I've been dealing with extreme thirst and some dizziness. The warnings about hearing loss are scary too. I hope it doesn't come to that. Also, advice on managing the dehydration and side effects?

I've been on Torsemide for years and never had any issues with hearing loss. But I did experience some weird tingling in my hands and feet. Maybe it’s just me, but it got me worried.
I had a similar experience with the thirst and dizziness. My doctor recommended eating small, salty snacks throughout the day to help with the electrolyte balance. It's helped a lot!
I've had no issues with Torsemide, but I do feel like I'm constantly running to the bathroom. It's a small price to pay for how well it works on my edema. Just a side note: if you do get hearing issues, go to a doctor immediately. Don't mess around with that one.
I noticed some muscle weakness when I first started taking it. My doctor said it was due to the electrolyte loss. I had to get some blood tests to make sure everything was okay. I wish I had known about the potential side effects better before starting the medication.
I’ve heard that some people might experience an allergic reaction. I had rashes and itching in the first week but it cleared up after a few days. Not sure if it was a reaction to the pills or something else but it was scary. I hope you all stay safe out there!
Just a heads up, if you start feeling really weak or confused, go to the ER. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital because of severe electrolyte imbalance. It's no joke.
