I've been using Tretinoin 0.025% Gel for about a month now, and my skin feels like it's on fire. I'm pretty sure the 'feeling of warmth' they mentioned in the side effects is an understatement. Before you laugh, it really does feel like my skin is burning off and I'm left with the horrible redness. I've been applying it every other night per my dermatologist's advice, but I'm starting to wonder if that's enough. I've heard that it can take up to 3 months to see noticeable results, but I'm struggling to push through the irritation. I'm not sure if I should stick it out, or if I should go back to my doctor and ask for a lower strength. I've read online that some people see great results, but I'm not sure if it's worth the pain. I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this level of irritation and how you dealt with it. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. If you're thinking skipping it all together maybe you should consider the benefits. It's supposed to help with acne and reduce the appearance of sun damage. I'm sure these things have been helpful to a lot of people. Let me know your thoughts!

I started using Tretinoin a few months ago and my skin has improved tremendously. What were my side effects? I had a few at first but they were only minor inconveniences. It was worth it. If you are having a hard time, hang in there. The search for the right medication is always a challenge, but don't give up. But if something is not right, please talk to your doctor. Side effects are a big deal. It could be a bad reaction or something worse. It's important to take things seriously.

Has anyone else noticed a change in skin color? I've been using Tretinoin for a few weeks and my skin looks a bit darker, almost sunburned. I have no idea why, but I feel bad. Can anyone help me with this?

Oh man, I remember when I first started using Tretinoin. It was a nightmare. But I stuck with it and now my skin is amazing. Just give it time and use a good moisturizer to help with the dryness.

I've been using Tretinoin for years and I swear by it. It's changed my skin for the better. I started with the 0.025% and worked my way up to 0.05%. My skin got used to it over time. I experienced similar side effects, but they were temporary. It does hurt, but it goes away, usually. Please keep going and give it more time and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.
