I've been prescribed Triamcinolone Ace 40mg/ml Inj, 10ml for my arthritis, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I've heard stories about steroids being hard on the body, but I also know they can be really effective. Has anyone else had experience with this specific injection? I'd love to hear about your results and any side effects you encountered. Also, how did you manage any unpleasant symptoms that came up? I'm trying to prepare as much as possible before my first injection.

Ask your doctor about alternatives. I couldn’t do steroids so my doctor helped me find some herbal supplements that worked really well.

I had this injection for my severe allergy and it was a life saver. I was lucky as it didn't have any side effects but you should consult your doctor for best advice

I had a friend who had a terrible reaction to this stuff. Swollen lips, difficulty breathing and they had to rush her to the ER. Definitely not something to take lightly.

I had a similar experience and had none of the listed side effects

I was on this and it helped my allergies immensely. I didn’t have to use my inhaler as much either. i had a few side effects like hair thinning but it was bearable. I would say it depends on how bad your condition is. Weigh the pros and cons and discuss with your doctor which would make the most sense

I have had to deal with weight gain and insomnia after my second shot so I’m scared to go for a third shot. The pain relief was incredible but the side effects scared me. What is a good way to manage insomnia?

About the injection site: apply an ice pack for a bit before the injection, and it makes a world of difference in terms of pain. Over the next 24 hours, keep applying ice every 10 or 15 minutes, at the same time as a bit of Advil.

I've had multiple injections of this for my psoriasis. I mean, this the most effective thing I've had. I get some nasty side effects like crazy sweating and insomnia. But I haven't experienced the major ones like abnormal heartbeat or trouble breathing. It might differ for others, but I'd watch out for the major ones.
