I was prescribed Tricor 48mg Tablets to help manage my high triglyceride and cholesterol levels. I've been on them for about a month now, and while I'm hopeful they're doing their job, I'm also feeling some anxiety about the potential side effects. Fenofibrate is supposed to help break down and remove fats in the blood, but the list of side effects is daunting. I've experienced some mild stomach discomfort, but nothing too severe. However, I'm worried about the possibility of more serious issues like liver problems or even pancreatitis. Has anyone else had experience with these side effects? Or, if not, any tips on how to manage the potential symptoms would be much appreciated. I'm especially concerned about the back pain side effect, as I already deal with chronic back issues. Weighing all this, anyone feel like the pros of taking Tricor have outweighed the cons? Let's discuss!

This medication has been a lifesaver for me. My cholesterol levels have dropped significantly, and I haven't had any severe side effects. But I must say that even the mild ones can be annoying. Just stay vigilant and talk to your doctor if anything worrisome comes up.

Make sure to drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol. It can help mitigate some of the side effects, especially those related to the liver and digestion, and it can also help flush out the toxins.

I had a friend who took something similar and got gallstones. It's rare, but it can happen. Definitely something to keep in mind!

I've been on Tricor for a few years now and I haven't experienced any serious side effects. Just be sure to monitor your liver function regularly as this is a common side effect. It’s also important to stay hydrated and maintain a healthy lifestyle (diet and exercise) while on this medication.
