I've been struggling with severe eczema for years, and my dermatologist recently prescribed Hydrocortisone Butyr 0.1% Cream. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I've noticed a significant reduction in redness and itching. However, I'm experiencing some mild burning and stinging, which is a bit concerning. Has anyone else had this experience? I'd love to hear about your results and any side effects you've encountered. I applied the cream daily as directed and tried to avoid areas beyond the affected regions to minimize potential side effects. So far, it's been a mixed bag, and I'm curious to know if others have had similar experiences or if there are any tips to make the process more effective.

I've been using it for a few months now, and I've experienced some really bad itching and burning. I thought it was supposed to help with that, not make it worse.

This cream saved my life. I had this horrible rash that wouldn't go away, and this cream did the job.

I've used hydrocortisone creams before, and they've always worked for me. I would recommend using it sparingly at first and gradually increasing as needed.

after watching my skin thin out, I started avoiding it — it's not worth the damage.

I had a bad reaction to it. My skin got really dry and started to peel. I had to stop using it and switched to a different cream.

I switched to a hydrocortisone butyrate cream and itching got much better, but the peel warning sounds like a sore point. Question: Should we avoid areas of skin that aren't affected?

I used it for my baby's diaper rash, and it seemed to help right away! It was a game-changer for sure.

I wish I had known about these side effects before I started using it. Now I'm scared to use any topical steroids.
