Recently, I've been reading about a new drug, Trikafa 50mg/25mg/37.5mg Tablets, for cystic fibrosis (CF) patients with specific genetic mutations. It combines three different medicines that work to improve lung function and reduce other CF symptoms, which is fantastic! Has anyone here with CF tried this drug or has experience with it from a caregiver perspective? I'd love to hear about how it's working in your life or the lives of your loved ones. Also, do you know what is the average cost for the medication?

I heard that it can be challenging to find, but I was able to get them delivered to me, so it's worth checking out.

This drug is amazing. Just wish the side effects were less harsh. I've experienced some allergic reactions and had to go to the ER once. Scary stuff, but worth it in the long run.

Just wondering, does anyone know if Trikafta can be taken during pregnancy? I'm planning to start a family and want to make sure it's safe.

This drug has been a lifesaver for my cousin who has cystic fibrosis. He's been on it for a few months, and his lung function has improved significantly. The only downside is the side effects like headaches and flu-like symptoms, but they seem manageable with time.

Trikafta is expensive. I wish our insurance covered more. Looking into financial assistance programs makes a big difference. It's worth it for the improvement in quality of life though.
