You know, I’ve always wondered about the ingredients in this stuff. Bactracin, neomycin, and polymyxin B all sound a bit scary. Anybody know if there are better, more natural options out there?
I’m not having a great experience with ointment. I feel like every time I use it, it takes longer to heal. It’s not terrible but I’m contemplating a different option. Anyone have any suggestions?
I was okay until I used on my face. I broke out and got a rash but it was better the next day. If you are going to use on face maybe avoid the forehead or nose?
I guess I'm lucky because it’s the only thing I use when I get cut and I have never had an issue. I'm not sure it helps a lot. I always get better with it but who knows if it’s the ointment or not.
This is just my 2 cents but it irritates my skin too much for me. I have used it over a hundred times and I always have to apply hydrocortisone cream later to clear up the irritation. It's a pain but it is better than an infection.
A friend of mine is allergic to neomycin, so she can’t use this ointment. She swears by honey as a natural alternative. It’s worth a shot if you’re sensitive to the ingredients in this stuff.
I had a nasty reaction to it once. My skin was all blistered and I had trouble breathing. Scary stuff. I’d look into alternatives if you’re experiencing bad side effects.
